Mrs. Jennie P. Brant-Griffith, 71, of Point Road, Bedford, died at 8:31 AM, Friday, December 9th, 2011 at Donahoe Manor, Bedford.
Mrs. Brant-Griffith was born in Bedford Township on Tuesday, September 3, 1940, the daughter of the late William S. and Freda I. (Custer) Otto.
On December 13, 1984, she married Homer C. Griffith. In addition to her husband she is survived by Son- James E. Brant, Jr., Buffalo Mills; Daughter- Elizabeth I. wife of Ivan Marshall, Everett; Daughter- Roxanna M. Brant, Alum Bank; Son- William E. Brant, Schellsburg; Daughter- Barbara J. Morris, New Paris; Son- Thomas E. Brant, Buffalo Mills; Step Daughter- Sandy L. Mock, Altoona; Step Daughter- Nancy J. Nugent, Buffalo Mills; Step Son- Homer C. Griffith, Jr., Imler; Step Daughter- Wendy S. Conrath, New Paris; Step Son- Mark C. Griffith, Lovely, CO; Sister- Nellie I. Hall, Bedford; Brother- William S. Otto, New Paris. She is also survived by 25 grandchildren, and 20 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, James Brant, Sr., four sisters, Myrtle Otto, Viola Otto, Donna Otto and Mary McBride and by two brothers, Harry Otto and Ronald Otto.
Jennie was employed as a stitcher at Fairfoot Shoe, Cannondale and Bender Shoe Company in Somerset. She was a lifetime member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Pleasantville VFW Post #9219 and she was a member of Women of the the Moose, Bedford Lodge #1245.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, December 12, 2011 at Dry Ridge Cemetery, Manns Choice with Rev. Daniel Campbell officiating.
