Jeffrey L. Whisel

Mr. Jeffrey L. Whisel, 61, of Business 220, Bedford, died Thursday, May 10th, 2018 at his home with his wife and daughter Kasey by his side.

Mr. Whisel was born in Bedford on August 9, 1956,  he was the son of the late John Martin Whisel, Sr. and Cleo (Snyder) Whisel.

On June 2, 1984, he married Nancy J. (Hershberger) Whisel.  In addition to his wife he is survived by Daughter- Kasey L. Whisel, Martinsburg, WV; Daughter- April D. Whisel-Knepper wife of Robert Knepper, Chambersburg; Daughter- Misty Jo Whisel-Wheeler wife of Harry Wheeler, Hanover; four grandchildren, Victoria, Blake, Maddy and Harrison; Sister- Shirley widow of Al Pittenturf, Chambersburg; Sister- Delores wife of Ronald Baughman, Everett; Brother- Samuel L. husband of Leslie (Miller) Whisel, Boiling Springs; Very Special Nephews- Jeremy & Zane Whisel and numerous nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by two brothers, John "Marty" Whisel, Jr. and Dennis Whisel.

Jeff was first employed at the Sunoco Service Station in Breezewood.  He then worked for 25 years as an inventory auditor at JLG and then most recently he was employed  at the Kmart/Sears Holding Center in Chambersburg for seven years/  Jeff enjoyed NASCAR and was an avid Jimmie Johnson fan.  He was also a Pittsburgh Steeler, Penguin and Pirates fan. Jeff loved riding his motorcycle with his best friend Kee and spending time with his dog, Rooney.  He was a wonderful husband, a loving father and grandfather, a loyal brother and uncle and a great friend.  He will be greatly missed.      .

A funeral service will be held at Louis Geisel Funeral Home, Bedford at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, May 16th, 2018 with Pastor Bob Hershberger, Jr. officiating.

Interment will be held at  St. Paul's Cemetery, Bedford.

Friends are invited to call on Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Geisel Funeral Home in Bedford.
