Janet L. (Geller) Hershberger

Janet L. Hershberger, 74, of East Pitt Street, Bedford went to her eternal home with Jesus on Friday, November 26, 2021 at UPMC Hospital Altoona, Blair County.

Ms. Hershberger was born in Juniata Twp., on January 26, 1947, daughter of the late John Jacob Geller and Dorothy Margaret "Dot" (Diehl) Geller.

Janet is survived by Son John husband of Lori (Smith) Hershberger, 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren and sister to Vesta, Connie, Jacklyn and Gary. She was preceded in death by Sister- Mary Jane Stiffler, Brother- Robert and Nephew- Courtney.

Janet cleaned for several local businesses and organizations including, SVVFC, the Post Office, VFW and Geisel Funeral Home. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary, VFW and SVVF Company. Janet was also a member of Christ Victory Church, New Buena Vista.

Janet was an amazing and kind hearted mother, grandmother, sister and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Friends will be received on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 from 2-4 and 6-8PM at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg.

A Funeral Service will be held at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at 11:00AM with Pastor Patrick Traxler officiating.

Interment at Schellsburg Cemetery.
