James William "Bill" Koontz

Mr. James William "Bill" Koontz, 76, of Texas Corner Road, New Enterprise, passed away Tuesday, October 6th, 2015 at his home.

Mr. Koontz was born at home in Salemville on Monday, August 7, 1939,  the son of the late George Lester and Harriet (Kagarise) Koontz.

On October 18, 1958, he married Linda G. (Beach) Koontz.  In addition to his wife he is survived by Son- Jeffrey Allen husband of  Paula (Fisher) Koontz, New Enterprise; Daughter- Deborah Ann widow of  Monty Guyer, New Enterprise; Son- Brian Lynn husband of  Amy (Cottle) Koontz, Everett; Grandchildren- Andrew, Allison, Matthew, Olivia & Megan; Great Grandchildren- Benjamin, Grayson & Jackson; Sister- Nancy widow of  Marlyn Graffius, Woodbury; Brother- Wayne Koontz, Woodbury; Brother- John "Jack" husband of  Annette  Koontz, Kansas City, MO; Brother- Terry husband of  Sondra (Reinard) Koontz, Woodbury.  He was preceded in death by a brother, George "Ronnie" Koontz.

Bill was a member of the Waterside Church of the Brethren and attended Northern Bedford High School.  He was a self-employed truck driver, hauling produce.  Bill was a member of the Teamsters of Western PA.  He was a loving and kind husband, father, brother, uncle and friend and he will be greatly missed.

A Memorial Service will be held at Koontz Church of the Brethren, Loysburg at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 10th, 2015 with Pastor Michael Benner officiating.

Friends are invited to call on Saturday from 10:00 - 11:00 AM at the church.
