James D. "Doug" Marshall

Mr. James D. "Doug"  Marshall, 80, of Peter Street, Schellsburg, died Saturday, February 4th, 2017 at UPMC Altoona Hospital.

Mr. Marshall was born in Detroit, MI on Thursday, June 25, 1936,  the son of the late James L. and Marion (Shay) Marshall.

On February 22, 1957, he married Mary E. (Laughlin) Marshall.  In addition to his wife he is survived by Son- Pastor Kevin D. Marshall husband of Michelle (Keezer) Marshall, Schellsburg; Daughter- Kim A. Littleton wife of Don Littleton, St. Louis, MO; Daughter- Jennifer L. Myers wife of Joshua Myers, New Zealand; Brother- Thomas Marshall, Detroit, MI. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, and twelve great grandchildren.

Doug was a member of the Rocklick Hollow Historic Baptist Church.  He was employed as Vice President of a branch of United Van Lines in Detroit for 20 years.  Doug was a loving husband, a wonderful father and grandfather, a devoted brother and a loyal friend.  He will be greatly missed.

A Funeral Service will be held at Rocklick Hollow Historic Baptist Church, New Paris at 11:00 AM on Thursday, February 9th, 2017 with Pastor Kevin D. Marshall officiating.

Interment will be held at Schellsburg Cemetery.

Friends are invited to call on Wednesday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg.
