James C. Weyant

Mr. James C. Weyant, 64, of Ridgewood Drive, New Paris (Fishertown), died at 5:45 AM, Monday, July 22nd, 2013 at Altoona Hospital.
Mr. Weyant was born at Bedford Hospital on Sunday, March 13, 1949, the son of the late J. Clayton and Lois E. (Leydig) Weyant.
On June 21, 1968, he married Lana (Holler) Weyant. In addition to his wife he is survived by Son- Joe husband of Erin (Beegle) Weyant, Bedford; Sister- Rebecca Stultz, Fishertown; Nephew- Rob Stultz, Orlando, FL; Niece- Alicia Lewis, California. He is also survived by one grandson, Parker Weyant.
Jim was a 1967 graduate of Chestnut Ridge High School and was of the Lutheran faith. He was employed as an accountant, retiring from Hedstrom Corporation. Jim was an avid hunter and fisherman and a member of the Rocky Ridge Sportsman Club. He coached football and basketball at Chestnut Ridge High School for many years. Jim enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandson, Parker.
A funeral service will be held at Louis Geisel Funeral Home, Bedford at 11:00 AM on Thursday, July 25th, 2013 with Rev. Richard Whetstone officiating.
Interment will be held at Stone Church Cemetery, Fishertown.
Friends are invited to call on Wednesday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at Louis Geisel Funeral Home, Bedford.
