James Alan Feather

Mr. James Alan  Feather, 67, of Pennknoll Road, Everett, formerly of Spring Hope, died Saturday, December 30th, 2017 at Pennknoll Village.
Mr. Feather was born in Bedford on July 19, 1950,  he was the son of Cora L.  (Reininger) Feather  of Hollidaysbrug and the late  James R. Feather.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by  Sister- Nina S. wife of John Wagoner, Springfield, WV; Sister- Pamela J. wife of William Grozanick, Patton; Brother- Kevin M. Feather, Cumberland, MD  and three nieces and nephews.
James was affiliated with the Alum Bank United Methodist Church.  He was a 1968 graduate of Chestnut Ridge High School.  Alan worked for the US Department of Agriculture in Washington DC for ten years as an information receptionist.  He was a member of the NRA and the Smithsonian Institute. Alan especially enjoyed time with family & friends; picking & selling fruit through local markets & keeping in touch by cards and letters with all the people he met through his life journey. Alan was a wonderful son, brother, uncle and friend and he will be greatly missed.
A Funeral Service will be held at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, January 3rd,  2017 with Pastor Dan Oldham officiating.
Interment will be held at Fishertown Cemetery.
Friends are invited to call on Wednesday from 10:00 - 11:00 AM at the Geisel Funeral Home in Schellsburg.
