James F. Weyant

Mr. James F. Weyant, 70, of Sloans Hollow Road, New Paris, died at 2:18 PM, Saturday, April 6th, 2013 at UPMC Bedford Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Weyant was born in Bedford on Saturday, June 27, 1942,  the son of the late Harold and Louise (Kimmel) Weyant.

On May 15, 1965, he married R. Sally (McWilliams) Weyant.  In addition to his wife he is survived by Son- James F. Weyant, II husband of  Valleri (Diehl), Millersville, MD; Daughter- Amy W. wife of  Brian Williams, Charlotte, NC. He is also survived by five grandchildren, Theresa, AJ, Samantha, Melissa and Michael.

Jim was a member of Amity United Church of Christ in Meyersdale and attended the United Church of Schellsburg.  He graduated from Meyersdale High School in 1960 and graduated from West Virginia University.  Jim was employed in concrete sales management and was the concrete sales manager for New Enterprise Stone & Lime for ten years.  He was a member of the Bedford Lodge #320 F&AM and was a member of the Meyersdale Elks Lodge for 50 years.   Jim had a lifelong love of horses and was a member of both the Chestnut Ridge and Johnstown Saddle Clubs.

The family would like to thank the staff of Pennknoll Village for their compassion and care.

A Funeral Service will be held at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, April 9th, 2013 with Rev. Ruth Shaver officiating.

Interment will be held at  Schellsburg Cemetery.

Friends are invited to call on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the funeral home in Schellsburg.
