Mr. James L. Tenley, 76, of W. 5th Ave., Everett, died at 8:45 AM, Monday, August 18th, 2014 at Pennknoll Village.
Mr. Tenley was born in Riddlesburg on Wednesday, March 9, 1938, the son of the late Thomas and Myra (Fleck) Tenley.
On June 23, 1975, he married Joyce M. (Grimes) Tenley.
In addition to his wife he is survived by Daughter- Tina Marie wife of Dave Bollman, Breezewood; Daughter- Penny Jean wife of Blair Dively, Sr., New Enterprise; Daughter- Valarie Lee wife of Ronald Smith, Sr.; Daughter- Myra Louise Hinson; Son- Ricky Dean Bussard, New Enterprise; Daughter- Teresea Ann wife of Randy Hasting, Woodbury; Son- Michael Leroy husband of Tonya Tenley, Hopewell; Son- William Brian husband of Amy Tenley, Everett; Son- Thomas Roger husband of Michelle Tenley, Riddlesburg; Son- John Richard Tenley; Daughter- Joy-Ell wife of John Gutshall, Shippensburg; Brother- Samuel Tenley, Everett; Brother- David husband of Betty Tenley, Riddlesburg. Jim is also survived by a number of grandchildren, great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Kenneth, Bob, Allen "Jake" & Thomas, Jr and by five sisters, Margaret Garnes, Sarah Shadle, Genevieve Weyer, Myra Mackowitz & Laurel Miller.
Jim was a member of the Holsinger Church of the Brethren in Bakers Summit and served in the US Army. He was employed as a coal miner for many years and then worked at various saw mills, retiring from Kerex Saw Mill in Breezewood.
A Graveside Service will be held at Duvall Cemetery at 12 Noon on Saturday, August 23, 2014 with Pastors Paul Snyder & Vaughn Loose officiating.
Friends will be recieved from 4:00 - 8:00 PM on Friday at the Snake Spring Church of the Brethren with a memorial following.
