Mr. James R. Harbaugh, 52, of Sixth Ave., New Paris, died at 2:18 PM, Friday, August 24th, 2012 at UPMC Bedford Memorial Hospital, as the result of a logging accident.
Mr. Harbaugh was born in Snake Spring Township on Tuesday, August 23, 1960, the son of the late William A. and Ruth E. (Blackburn) Harbaugh.
He is survived by Son- Michael R. husband of Laura (Hanks) Harbaugh, Everett; Son- Mark A. Harbaugh, Westminster, MD; Daughter- Jessica wife of Randall Wagner, Mapleton Depot; Sister- Wanda K. wife of Rickie Fetter, Bedford; Sister- Gladys P. wife of Andrew Braman, Manns Choice; Sister- Mary E. wife of Ralph Shiley, Kansas, OH; Sister- Patricia A. wife of Brian Stivers, Hillsboro, OH; Sister- Alice L. Tuttle, Freemont, OH; Brother- William A. Harbaugh, Jr. husband of Tammie (Corle) Harbaugh, Alum Bank; Sister- Karen M. wife of Danny Gillig, Largo, FL; Sister- Agnes R. wife of Rodger Dean, Brandner, OH; Best Friends Chick & Diane Riegel, New Paris. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Matthew Logsdon. On October 12, 1982, he married his former wife, Kathleen (Phillippi) Harbaugh.
James was affiliated with the Spring Meadow Family Worship Center. He was employed as a handyman and truck driver and was a social member of the Pleasantville VFW Post #9219.
A Funeral Service will be held at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, August 29th, 2012 with Pastor Gary Boor officiating.
Interment will be held at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Manns Choice.
Friends are invited to call on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the funeral home.
