Mr. James L Brallier, 74, of Rock Hill Church Road, Clearville, went to his heavenly home Friday, August 21st, 2015 with his family at his side.
Mr. Brallier was born at the Everett Hospital on Thursday, October 17, 1940, the son of the late James W. and Catherine (King) Brallier.
On August 21, 1961, he married Helen M. (Williams) Brallier. In addition to his wife he is survived by Daughter- Karen wife of Robert Hillegass, Jr., Clearville; Son- Michael Brallier, Everett; Son- Chad husband of Sherri (Cantrell) Brallier, Hopewell; Son- Shawn Brallier, Everett; Grandchildren- Robbie, Jordan, Cody, Jacob, Levi & Thomas; Great Grandchildren- Owen & Bentley; Brother- Lamonte "Monty" Brallier, Bedford; Niece- Christy wife of Jesse Topper, Bedford; Nephew- Scott Brallier, Bedford & Lifelong Friend- Bill Williams, Everett.
Jim was a member of the Clearville United Methodist Church. He was a graduate of Everett High School, Class of 1958 and went on to graduate from Williamsport Technical Institute in State College in 1961. Jim was previously employed at Caro's Equipment and at Jim's Motor Rebuilding. He then retired from New Enterprise Stone and Lime in 2003.
Jim's hands were always busy, whether it was restoring a 1950 Chevy Pickup, building furniture and cabinetry or playing gospel bluegrass music on his guitar. He passed his love of music onto his grandsons, teaching them to play the guitar and making music with them. Jim enjoyed visiting with his neighbors, friends, family and lending a hand whenever and wherever he could. He especially loved his role as caretaker at the Clearville United Methodist Church.
Jim was a loving husband, a wonderful father & grandfather, a devoted brother & uncle and a loyal friend. He is going to be greatly missed.
A funeral service will be held at Jack H. Geisel Funeral Home, Everett at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, August 25th, 2015 with Pastor Debi Decker officiating.
Friends are invited to call on Monday from 4:00 - 8:00 PM and Tuesday from 9:00 - 10:00 AM at the funeral home in Everett.
