Jacqueline Susanne Miller, 63, of Bedford, entered her mansion over the
hill top, Saturday, Aug. 25, 2018, peacefully, surrounded by family and
friends, after a courageous eight month battle with lung cancer.
Born on Dec. 16, 1954, at Bedford Memorial Hospital, she was the
daughter of the late Raymond E. Miller and Betty L. (Dull) Miller-Shaffer of
Bedford.
She was a graduate of Chestnut Ridge High School. In 1981, she moved to
Midland, Texas and was a graduate of the Midland Community College as a
paralegal. She returned to Bedford and was currently employed as an
Accounting Assistant clerk at PennDOT for both Bedford and Fulton Counties.
She was a lifetime member of Tulls Hill Bible Church, loved the Lord,
attending religious programs and was always praying for those in need. She
loved Christmas. She was a member of AFSCME and was also a member of the
American Legion Auxilliary of Midland, Texas.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by brother, Jeffrey Miller of
Buffalo Mills, friend, Patty Wissinger of New Paris, niece, Lea Miller, wife
of John Macilock, of Gettysburg, nephew Stephen Miller, of Fairfield, Pa.,
and special great-niece, Rene Macilock of Gettysburg. She is also survived
by her aunt Ann, wife of Ed Koontz, of Bedford, aunt Shirley Miller of
Bedford, numerous cousins, close friend, Ann Carter of Midland, Texas (who
recently visited her), stepbrother, Roger Shaffer (Cindy), stepsister, Rena
Litten (Fred), stepsister, Rhonda Sites (Greg) all of Hyndman. She is also
survived by numerous stepnieces, nephews, and cousins.
Jacqueline was preceded in death by her father, Raymond E. Miller;
paternal grandparents, James C. and Grace Miller; maternal grandparents,
Grover and Rena Dull; and stepfather Wayne A. Shaffer.
She enjoyed sharing her Dec. 16birthday with her stepfather, Wayne, and
stepnephew, Trevor. She loved spending time at Friendship Village with her
many loving friends and their Bible studies. In her final days, she was
overwhelmed with the love of her many friends with their daily visits and
phone calls.
A funeral service will be held at Tulls Hill Bible Church in Bedford at
11 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 29, with Pastor Stanley Serafin and former Pastor
Dan Campbell officiating.
Interment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery Manns Choice.
Friends will be received Tuesday, Aug. 28, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at
Tulls Hill Bible Church.
