Ima Jane (Hershberger) Long

Ima Jane Long, 86, of Christie Lane, Imler, went to her eternal home with Jesus on , Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at Nason Hospital, Blair County.

Mrs. Long was born in Bedford on June 25, 1934, daughter of the late Ray and Edna (Daugherty) Hershberger.

On May 5, 1956 Ima married Donald D. Long. He preceded her in death on December 15, 2011.

She is survived by  Son- D. Wayne Long, Imler; Son- Gary L. husband of  Donna (Lamborn) Long, Imler; Daughter- Deborah J. widow of  Donald Rightnour, NC; Son- Rodney L. husband of  Barbara (Wendt) Long, Imler; Son- Douglas A. husband of  Brenda (Emigh) Long, Imler; Daughter- Melissa A. Edge wife of  Miles O. Edge III, WV; Son- K. Matthew husband of  Lisa A. (Lafferty) Long, Imler; Sister- Dorothy wife of  Russell Barnes, York; Sister- Betty widow of  James Miller, Bedford; Brother- Jim Hershberger, Bedford. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, and 27 great grandchildren. Ima was preceded in death by the following siblings- Billy, Junior Michaels, Robert, Donald, Kenneth , Connie and Larry.

She was a lifetime member of St. Paul's Reformed Church, Bedford.

Ima was a waitress at Bennetts and Mae's Dinner. She  was an amazing and caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend who will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Friends will be received on Monday, June 14, 2021 from 10AM -Noon at Louis Geisel Funeral Home, Bedford.

A funeral service will be held  at Louis Geisel Funeral Home, Bedford, at Noon on Monday, June 14th,  with Pastor Ryan Patterson officiating.

Interment at St. Paul's Cemetery, Bedford.
