Mrs. Ida Pearl  Frazier, 87, of Colonial Courtyard, formerly of New Paris and Bedford, died at 8:05 AM, Wednesday, April 24th, 2013 at Colonial Courtyard.

Mrs. Frazier was born in E. St. Clair Township on Monday, April 19, 1926,  the daughter of the late Charles W. and Hazel P. (Bender) Claycomb.

On February 1, 1947, she married A.J. "Budd" Frazier.  He preceded her in death on February 12, 1985.

She is survived by  Son- Lynn A. husband of  Linda Kay (Emerick) Frazier, Buffalo Mills; Daughter- Pamela M. wife of  Jeffrey Feather, Osterburg; Daughter- Lisa T. wife of  Gary Ickes, Osterburg. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Daniel Claycomb and three sisters, Esther Claycomb, Cleo Cuppett and Ruth Lehman

Ida Pearl was a 1946 graduate of Conemaugh Valley School of Nursing.  She was employed as a registered nurse at Bedford Hospital and was also a private duty nurse.  She retired in 1988 from Donahoe Manor Nursing Home where she was the head nursing supervisor.  Ida Pearl was also a former tax collector for New Paris Borough.

She was an active member and Sunday School teacher at the New Paris United Methodist Church.  Ida Pearl enjoyed playing the piano and played both at church and at home.  She was the last member of her immediate family.

A funeral service will be held at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg at 11:00 AM on Friday, April 26th,  with Rev. Ralph Landis officiating.

Interment will be held at Schellsburg Cemetery.

Friends are invited to call on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the funeral home in Schellsburg.
