Ida J. Ferguson

Ida Jane Ferguson, 80, of Schellsburg, Pennsylvania went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 23, 2024 at Pennknoll Village, Everett.

Ida was born in Alum Bank on December 10, 1943, daughter of the late Warren and Marie (Moore) Oldham.

She married her husband Bernard "Turk" Ferguson, who preceded her in death on April 7, 2021.

She is survived by daughter- Kathy wife of Dan Hockenberry; son- Terry husband of Amy Nave; daughter- Lisa wife of Clarence Deremer; son- Bradley Ferguson partner of Dawn Howsare; son- David husband of Amanda Ferguson; grandchildren: Amanda Baughman, Emily Imler, Ashley Weyant, Tristan Nave, Trevin Nave, Mindy Yarnell, Megan Faupel, Nathan Nave Jr, Jessica Nave, Kerri, Kyle, Racey, and Aleigha Ferguson; siblings: Phillis Bowser, Russell Oldham, Marlene Liby, Lewis Oldham, Anna Russell, Patty Allison and Linda Ickes; with numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Ida is preceded in death by sons: Harry Edgar Nave, Tommy Allen Nave, Nathan Wayne Nave and wife Tina; late sister Iva and late brothers Hubert and John.

Ida was affiliated with the United Church of Schellsburg. She was a cook for numerous restaurants around the area and was an in-home caregiver. Ida enjoyed knitting, crocheting and completing puzzles.

A viewing will be held Wednesday, June 26, 2024 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM and on Thursday, June 27, 2024 from 10-11 AM at Geisel-Styer Funeral Homes, Schellsburg.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 27, 2024, at 11 AM at Geisel-Styer Funeral Homes, Schellsburg.

Interment will be at Stone Church Cemetery, Fishertown, PA.

A luncheon will be held at Chestnut Ridge Independent Fellowship Church, following graveside services.
