Howard E. Crawford, Sr.

Mr. Howard E. Crawford, Sr.,  77, of Park Lane, Bedford, died Monday, July 17th, 2017 at UPMC Altoona Hospital.

Mr. Crawford was born in Mount Union on Saturday, August 5, 1939,  the son of the late Harry L. and Mae E. (Hammond) Crawford.

On July 25, 1958, he married Orpha L. (Albright) Crawford. In addition to his wife he is survived by Son- Howard E. Crawford, Jr., Frederick, MD; Son- David W. husband of Penny (Smith) Crawford, Schellsburg; Daughter- Brenda L. wife of Jeff Zimmerman, Cuyhoga Falls, OH; Son- Richard E. husband of Heidi (Barrett) Crawford, Eustis, FL. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, Shane, Jared, Ian, Abigail, Alex, Nora, Owen & Nathan.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Janet.

Howard was a member of the Manns Choice Church of God.  He was employed as a dispatcher for Eastern Express for 13 years and as an Independent Insurance Agent for Kemper Insurance for 40 years.  Howard was a talented vocalist and sang tenor with many singing trios and quartets in the area.  He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and he will be greatly missed.

A Funeral Service will be held at Manns Choice Church of God at 11:00 AM on Friday, July 21st, 2017 with Rev. Richard Whetstone officiating.

Interment will be held at Madley Cemetery, Buffalo Mills.
