Helene K. (Kranchalk) Suhre

Mrs. Helene K. Suhre, age 90, of Bedford, but formerly of New Baltimore died at 2:00  PM , Saturday, November 5th, 2011 at Donahoe Manor,

Mrs. Suhre was born in Central City,  on Tuesday, May 3, 1921,  the daughter of the late Michael and Anna (Gachko) Kranchalk.

She served as a Justice of the Peace at in Alleghany Township, Somerset County for 18 years. and was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in New Baltimore..

She was the widow of Regis C. Suhre, whom she married July 12, 1941 and he preceded her in death on May 31, 2001..

She is survived by  Daughter- Carole Suhre, Theodore, AL; Son- Dr. Lawrence husband of  Susan James, Mohnton; Son- Neil husband of  Lauren Thomas, West Chester; Sister- Sue Schroll, Mt. Pleasant; Sister- Pauline Koeller, Rahway, NJ; Sister- Margaret Marko, Kettering, Ohio; Sister- Elizabeth Benedict, Springboro, Ohio; Sister- Cecelia Bahorik, Kettering, Ohio; Sister-in-law Margaret Kranchalk, Bethel Park. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren.
Helene was preceded in death by 4 Brothers - John, George, Stephen & Michael Kranchalk; 2 Sisters - Mary Koharchik & Anna Maslo.

A Funeral Mass will be held  at St. John  the Baptist Church at 9:00  AM on Friday, November 11th,  with Father George Jakopac, celebrant.

Interment at St. Johns Church Cemetery.

Friends are invited to callThursday 7 to 9  PM at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg where a vigil for the deceased will be held at 8:00  PM.
