Mrs. Helen Elizabeth  Weber, 86, of Burns Mills Road, Schellsburg, died at 3:05 AM, Wednesday, November 23rd, 2011 at Carrol's Nursing Home, Bedford.

Mrs. Weber was born in Helixville on Saturday, November 29, 1924,  she was the daughter of the late John Edgar and O. Idella (Bence) Findley.  At the age of two, her father was killed in an auto accident and her mother died shortly thereafter.  Helen was taken in and reared by her grandparents, John C. and Elizabeth Bence.

On January 12, 1946, she married William S. Weber.  He preceded her in death on February 25, 1974.

She is survived by  Daughter- Barbara J. wife of  Barry Clark, Schellsburg; Granddaughter- Susie wife of  Bob Lewis, York; Grandson- Andy Clark, Crystal Spring; Brother- Chester widower of  Mabel (Ranker) Findley, New Paris; Sister- Jean widow of  Lewis Shaffer, Schellsburg and three great grandchildren, Carter Lewis, Gavin Lewis and Preston Clark and by serveral nieces and nephews She was preceded in death by an infant son, William Edgar Weber in 1948

Helen was a 1945 graduate of Schellsburg High School and a member of the Helixville United Methodist Church.  She was a homemaker and enjoyed working in both her vegetable and flower gardens.

A Funeral Service will be held  at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 26th, 2011 with Rev. Ralph Landis officiating.

Interment will be held at  Schellsburg Cemetery.

Friends are invited to call on Friday from 4:00 - 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
