Helen R. (Glessner) Miller

Mrs. Helen R. Miller, 68, of Corley Road, Manns Choice, died Monday, April 2nd, 2018 at UPMC Altoona Hospital.

Mrs. Miller was born in New Baltimore on May 16, 1949,  the daughter of the late Manford and Vera (Leonard) Glessner.

On February 1, 1969, she married Thomas H. Miller, Sr.  In addition to her husband she is survived by Son- Thomas H. Miller, Jr. husband of Sabrina (Lockard) Miller, Central City; Son- Heath T. Miller, Manns Choice; Son- Jason T. Miller husband of Michele (Elbin) Miller, New Paris; Son- Aaron T. Miller husband of Katie (Shea) Miller, Frederick, MD; Daughter- Sarah A. Murphy, Ashville, NC; Sister- Toots Maddy, New Baltimore; Sister- Betty Kalbach, Laurel, MD; Sister- Bonnie Welsh, Schellsburg; Sister- Rita Suttmiller, Enid, OK; Brother- John Glessner, New Baltimore; Sister- Carol Hillegass, Manns Choice. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, Clay, Colby, Cody, Olivia, Owen, Gretchen, Bailee, Eligh and Emily. She was preceded in death by a brother, Fred Glessner.

Helen was a housewife and mother and a member of the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.  She enjoyed being outdoors and was an avid mushroom hunter.  Helen had a generous spirit and opened her home, yard and heart to everyone.  She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend and she is greatly missed.

A Funeral Mass will be held at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, New Baltimore at 10:00 AM on Thursday, April 5th,  2018 with Father Mark Begly, celebrant.

Committal services will be held at  St. Johns Cemetery, New Baltimore.

Friends are invited to call on Wednesday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg, where a vigil for the deceased will take place.
