Helen M. (Kegg) Jones
July 15, 1920 — February 22, 2014
Mrs. Jones was born in Cumberland Valley on Thursday, July 15, 1920, the daughter of the late C. Frank and Jennie (Rawlings) Kegg.
On March 15, 1939, she married Alvin C. Jones. He preceded her in death on January 6, 1989.
She is survived by Son- Glenn R. husband of Peggy (Mihelcic) Jones, Southampton; Daughter- Myrtle I. widow of Robert Sellers, Bedford; Daughter- Carol M. wife of Clem Miller, Alum Bank; Sister- Irene Growden, Lavale, MD; Brother- Raymond Kegg, Kenneth Square. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Annette, Steve, Jeanette & Elise, seven great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Glenn, Chalmer, Ralph & Guy and by three sisters Hazel, Vesta & Mabel.
Helen was a homemaker and a member of the Fishertown Community Bible Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother who will be dearly missed.
A funeral service will be held at Louis Geisel Funeral Home, Bedford at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, February 26th, 2014 with Pastor Dan Oldham officiating.
Interment will be held at Fishertown Cemetery.
Friends are invited to call on Tuesday from 4:00 - 7:00 PM at the funeral home in Bedford.
