Helen P. (Miller) Grove

Mrs. Helen P. Grove, age 90, of Manns Choice,  died Thursday, January 6th, 2011 at at her home with her daughter and caregivers, Carol Murphy & Debbie Shippy at her side.,

Mrs. Grove was born in Napier Township,  on Tuesday, June 1, 1920,   the daughter of the late Ray and Myrtle (Miller) Miller
.
She worked as a waitress at at Lake view Lounge in Schellsburg & Bennetts Resturant in Bedford. and was an employee of the former Silco Store in Bedford..


Helen was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Bedford American Legion Post #113, Woodmen of the World and Tulls Hill Bible Church..


She was the widow of Cyril A. Grove, whom she married September 5, 1968 and he preceded her in death March 14, 1995..
Helen is survived by  Daughter- E. Dianne (Shippey) Dietz , Manns Choice; Step Daughter- Jennifer Hayes, Phoenix, AZ; Brother- Andrew Miller, Bedford; Sister- Janet Laws, Manassas, VA.  Helen is also survived by two Grandsons - George, Jr. & Preston Dietz, two Step-grandsons - David Hayes & Justin Smith along with two Step-Great Grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her first husband - Elmer Shippey in 1965.   Three Sisters - Phyllis, Viola Shroyer & Arlene Dodd, three Brothers - William, Paul & Ray Miller.

A Funeral Service will be held  at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg,  at 10:00  AM on Monday, January 10th, 2011 with Pastor Daniel Campbell, officiating.


Interment at Bedford County Memorial Park..


Friends are invited to call Sunday 2 to 6  PM at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg.
