Mr. Harry A. Claycomb, 66, of Indian Eve Road, New Paris, died Thursday, May 26th, 2016 at James E. Van Zandt VA Medical Center, Altoona.
Mr. Claycomb was born in E. St. Clair Township on Thursday, February 2, 1950, the son of the late Daniel W. and Pearl E. (Gates) Claycomb.
On July 5, 1978, he married Carol I. (Morgart) Claycomb. In addition to his wife he is survived by Daughter- Lacey L. wife of Nick Roth, McConnellsburg; Sister- Linda wife of James Patton, Somerset; Sister- Betty wife of John Wilson, Reynoldsdale. He is also survived by a granddaughter, Amanda, wife of Erik, a grandson, Nolan, and one great granddaughter, Sydney.
Harry was a member of the Pine Grove United Methodist Church. He served in the US Army in Vietnam and also in Germany. Harry was employed as a mechanic foreman at W.C. McQuaide Trucking in Johnstown for 36 years. He was a member of the Bedford American Legion Post #113 & the Pleasantville VFW Post #9219. Harry was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother & friend and he will be missed greatly.
A memorial service will be held privately.
