Mr. Harry W. Dodson, 87, of Crystal Spring, went home to be with the Lord at 5:30 PM, Monday, February 2nd, 2015 at UPMC Bedford Memorial Hospital.

Harry was born in Monroe Township on Friday, June 10, 1927,  the son of the late Veryl A. and Mary Esther (Bowman) Dodson.

He is survived by  Daughter- Sandra wife of  Rickey Bartholow, Everett; Son- David husband of  Carol (Burkett) Dodson, Bedford; Step Daughter- Donna widow of  Raymond Armstrong, Imler; Very Special Nephew- Wm. J.R. husband of  Faye Fischer, Crystal Spring; Sister- Marion wife of  Marvin Calhoun, Everett; Sister- Charlotte wife of  Gary Householder, Huntingdon; Sister-in-Law- Cleo Dodson, Everett. He is also survived by two grandsons, and four step granddaughters and a number of nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his former wife, Marie (Feathers) Dodson, four sisters, LaVata Fischer, Vera Hixson, Isabelle Bellah & Maxine Hite and by a brother, Roy V.  "Hunter" Dodson.

Harry was employed as a truck driver and served in the Merchant Marines during W.W.II .  He was a member of the Bedford American Legion Post #113.  Harry was passionate about music and was proficient in a variety of string instruments, delighting in playing for and with his friends and family.

A funeral service will be held at Jack H. Geisel Funeral Home, Inc., Everett at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 6th, 2015 with Pastor Jonathan Wyns officiating.

Interment will be held at Clearville Union Cemetery.

Graveside military rites will be accorded by the Fort Bedford Honor Guard.

Friends are invited to call on Friday from 10:00 - 11:00 AM at the funeral home in Everett.
