Harriet E. (Atkinson) Kennedy

Mrs. Harriet E. Kennedy, 94, of S. Richard Street, Bedford, formerly of Tulls Hill, Manns Choice, died at 6:35 AM, Sunday, May 5th, 2013 at Altoona Hospital.

Mrs. Kennedy was born in Johnstown on Sunday,May 4, 1919,  the daughter of the late Harry F. and Blanche May (Liberty) Atkinson.

Harriet was first married to Floyd E. Randle.  He preceded her in death.  She then married Merle E. Kennedy.  He preceded her in death on January 11, 1991.

She is survived by  Niece- Arvonna Brown, FL; Niece- Saundra Avey, Delaware, OH; Nephew- Nathanial husband of  Lisa Avey, US Air Force Base, Japan; her great-nieces and nephews, Dominque, Iziah & Abby Avey and Tazura wife of Andy Seiple and her great great niece, Genevieve.  In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by her sister, Genevieve Brown

Harriet was a member of the United Methodist Church.  She was as a clerk and equipment operator in a dry cleaning business.    Harriet enjoyed animals, she especially loved cats, horses and small dogs.

There will be a private family service by Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg.

Interment will be held at  Schellsburg Cemetery.
