Harold S. "Pete" Smith, Jr.

Mr. Harold S. "Pete"  Smith, Jr., 77, of K Street, Bedford, died at 11:45 PM, Sunday, March 2nd, 2014 at Donahoe Manor Nursing Home.

Mr. Smith was born in Bedford on Wednesday, April 15, 1936.

On January 2, 1959, he married Jannette (Kinzey) Smith.  She preceded him in death on July 21, 2007.

He is survived by  Daughter- SaDonna L. wife of  Alton Imler, Bedford; Son- Jeffrey H. Smith, Osterburg; Daughter- Wendy S. wife of  Rodney J. Claar, Queen; Sister- Shirley Bussard, Youngstown, OH. He is also survived by five grandchildren, and two great granddaughters. He was preceded in death by his son, Harold S. Smith, III, his brother Jack Smyers on January 6th of this year and his sister, Mary Brumbaugh

Pete was employed by New Enterprise Stone and Lime and retired after 32 years of service.

A funeral service will be held at Louis Geisel Funeral Home, Bedford at 1:00 PM on Thursday, March 6th, 2014 with Pastor Ken Hall officiating.

Interment will be held at  Bedford County Memorial Park.

Friends are invited to call on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM and on Thursday from 12:00 - 1:00 PM at the funeral home in Bedford.
