Gladys L. (Beegle) Kegg Henderson

Mrs. Gladys L. (Beegle) Kegg Henderson, 92 of Bedford died on Friday, September 13th, 2013 at Colonial Courtyard.

Gladys was born March 30, 1921 in Colerain Township, the daughter of the late Robert and Nora (Wolfe) Beegle.

She is survived by the following children, Althea R Growden, and husband Thomas of Bedford, Robert F. Kegg and companion Janice Keys of Lewisbury, PA, Janice L Ford and husband William D. of Bedford, and James K. Kegg and wife Debi of Schellsburg, PA.;  Grandchildren:  Heather Growden & Eric Growden, William Ford Jr and wife Sue, Stacy Ford, Daniel Ford and wife Carrie.  Matthew Kegg and Andrew Kegg, Jenna Price wife of Matthew, Jerob Kegg and Jerica Bridges wife of Rodney Bridges. Gladys is also survived by great grandchildren, MaKenzie Ford, Austin & Chase Bussard, Braden Ford and Makayla Ford, Corbin Bridges & Broden Price.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Guy F. Kegg and her second husband, George William Henderson, her sister Grace Hunt, her brothers Luther & Kenneth Beegle and her daughter-in-law Georgann Kegg.

She graduated from Bedford High School in 1938 and Conemaugh School of Nursing in 1942.  She was a registered nurse at Sipes and Timmons Hospital in Everett.   She was the school nurse at Colerain Elementary for 24 years.    She worked at Clites Rest Home.   She was a member of the Conemaugh Valley Memorial Hospital Alumni Association, St. Mark LCW and was a lifetime member of St. Mark Lutheran Church.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Bedford with Pastor Jenny Barnes and Rev. Paul Claycomb officiating.

Interment will be held at  Bedford County Memorial Park.

Friends are invited to call on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Louis Geisel Funeral Home, Bedford.
