Geraldine Evelyn (Vandergrift) Thomas

Geraldine Evelyn (Vandergrift) Thomas, 99, of Perkasie, PA went to be with the Lord on Monday, December 25, 2023 at Belle Terrace Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center, Quakertown, PA.

Geraldine was born in Wilmington, DE on April 10, 1924, daughter of the late Jacob H. and Edna (Bagley) Vandergrift.

On May 25, 1946 she married her husband John A. Thomas, who preceded her in death on May 2, 2011.

She is survived by son- Daniel G., husband of Mary (Bernardo) Thomas, of Granada Hills, CA; son- Dennis G., husband of Linda (Hammond) Thomas, of Waverly, NY; son- Martin V., husband of Kimberly (Minemier) Thomas, of Perkasie, PA; along with five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Geraldine was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Perkasie, PA.

She was a writer who was self-published and authored the book “The Log Cabin and the Civil War.” She was also a contributing writer for the Community Living section of the Bedford Gazette.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, December 29, 2023 at 2 PM at the Woods Church Cemetery.

Interment will be at Woods Church Cemetery, Bedford, PA.
