Mr. George W. Waugerman, 85, of Central St., Osterburg, died Sunday, June 26th, 2016 at UPMC Bedford Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Waugerman was born in Portage on Friday, June 26, 1931, the son of the late John and Anna (Woomer) Waugerman.
On December 30, 1954, he married Nancy L. (See) Waugerman. In addition to his wife he is survived by Daughter- Cindy A. wife of Randy Feather, Osterburg; Grandson- Kyle husband of Heather (Glidden) Feather, Pittsburgh; Brother- John Waugerman, Bedford; Brother- Clair Waugerman, Manns Choice; Sister- Helen Foor, Manns Choice; Brother- David Waugerman, Ridgely, WV.
George was a member of the Trinity Reformed Church in Osterburg, where he was a Trustee. He served in the US Air Force during the Korean War. George retired after 36 years as a rural carrier for the Osterburg and Alum Bank area. He was a past Master of the Bedford Masonic Lodge #320 F & AM, a member of the Altoona Shrine and a member of the Bedford American Legion Post #113. George was the recipient of the One Million Mile Award and enjoyed hunting and spending time at the shore at Rehoboth Beach. He was an avid Pirates & Steelers fan. George was a wonderful man and an amazing husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He will be greatly missed.
A Funeral Service will be held at Jack H. Geisel Funeral Home, Inc., Pleasantville at 11:00 AM on Thursday, June 30th, 2016 with Pastor Charlie Miller officiating.
Interment will be held at Madley Cemetery, Buffalo Mills. Graveside military rites will be accorded by the Fort Bedford Honor Guard.
Friends are invited to call on Wednesday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Geisel funeral home in Pleasantville, where a Masonic Lodge Service will be held.
