George Felix, Jr.

He was one of six children born to George W. and Stella (Mock) Felix on October 20, 1926. His wife of 66 years, Doris R. Felix and two brothers, Virgil and Archie, predeceased him. George is survived by three children: son, Dr. Daniel L. Felix, wife Joyce, Mechanicsburg; son, Timothy G. Felix, wife Jody, Manns Choice; and daughter Mary E. Nelson, husband Robert, Crab Orchard, Tennessee. Three sisters, Hazel Davis, Wolfsburg, Ruthanna Miller, New Paris and Thelma Barnes, Middlesex Pennsylvania, also survive him. George had ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
George worked for the Pennsylvania Fish Commission in Reynoldsdale and Bethlehem Steel Corporation in Johnstown. He enjoyed walking in the woods and cutting trees on his property after his retirement in 1981. George was a life long member of the Dunnings Creek Church of the Brethren.
A Funeral Service will be held at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg at 2:30 PM on Friday, April 25th, 2014 with Pastor Robert Thacker officiating.
Interment will be held at Bedford County Memorial Park.
Friends are invited to call on Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the funeral home in Schellsburg
