Mr. Gary V. Wentz, 60, of Dunkard Hollow Road, Alum Bank, died Sunday, July 10th, 2016 after a difficult journey with Alzheimer's Disease at Meadow View Nursing Center, Berlin.

Mr. Wentz was born in Everett on Monday, August 22, 1955, the son of Betty (Rock) Wentz of Bedford and the late Vernon Wentz.

On October 13, 1972, he married Marie J. (Murgi) Wentz.

In addition to his wife and mother,  he is survived by Daughter- Jennifer L. Johnson, Windber; Son- Jeremy L. husband of Charlotte (Baker) Wentz, St. Louis, MO; Son- Jaime L. husband of Michele (Beck) Wentz, Downingtown; Granddaughters- Alyssa, Kiriana, Isabela & Fiona; Brother- William husband of  :Linda Wentz, Fishertown; Sister- Patricia wife of  Rodney Whetstone, Manns Choice; Son-in-Law- Bernie Johnson, Hopewell.  He was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Felix.

Gary was affiliated with the Ryot Church of the Nazarene.  He graduated from Chestnut Ridge High School in 1973 and attended Johnstown Career and Technology, completing the Electrical Studies Curriculum.  Gary was first employed at Thomas Chevrolet in Bedford and then worked at Rex Heat Treat in Bedford until the time of his illness .  He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend and he will be greatly missed.

A Funeral Service will be held at Ryot Church of the Nazarene at 11:00 AM on Thursday, July 14th, 2016 with Pastor Kevin Davis officiating.

Friends are invited to call on Wednesday from 1-4 & 6-9 PM at Jack H. Geisel Funeral Home, Inc, Pleasantville.

Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Gary to Windber Hospice,  600 Somerset Ave, Windber, PA 15963.
