Gary L. Leonard

Mr. Gary L. Leonard, 50, of Mock Cemetery Road, Osterburg,  died at 6:04 PM, Wednesday, July 20th, 2011 at his home.

Mr. Leonard was born in Windber on Saturday, December 17, 1960,  the son of Mabel (Callihan) Leonard of Alum Bank and the late Robert Leonard.

On November 3, 1978, he married Kandice J. (Foor) Leonard.

In addition to his wife  and his mother, he is survived Son- Adam L. husband of  Amie (Foor) Leonard, Osterburg; Son- Daniel P. husband of  Sarah (Lochner) Leonard, Oldtown, MD; Daughter- Megan L. Leonard and fiancee Justin Bennett, Ward, AR; Sister- Veron Alene Stigers, Alum Bank; Brother- Robert Dale Leonard, Osterburg; Brother- William Leonard, Alum Bank; Sister- Sheila Leonard, Alum Bank; Sister- Brenda Uber, Manns Choice; Brother- Donald Leonard, Alum Bank; Brother- David Leonard, Fishertown. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Alexander, Elizabeth, Aaron and Emma and a grandson due in August and by a number of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Gary was affiliated with the Weyant United Methodist Church and was a 1978 graduate of Chestnut Ridge High School.  He was employed for the past 22 years as a truck driver for Metzler Bros. Transport in Duncansville.

A Funeral Service will be held  at Jack H. Geisel Funeral Home, Pleasantville at 2:00 PM on Sunday, July 24th, 2011 with Pastor Gary Blankley, officiating.

Interment will be held at Stone Church Cemetery, Fishertown.

Friends are invited to call on Saturday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
