Gary Robert Brown

Gary Robert Brown, 50, of Hardeeville, SC, formerly of Bedford, PA died unexpectedly on Monday, April 8, 2013 at his home.

Gary was born in Bedford on August 8, 1962 to Marilyn Brown of Bedford and the late Dr. Robert B. Brown.

In addition to his mother, he was survived by his longtime partner- Sue Fenn of Hardeeville, SC. and by his sisters:  Suzanne Brown Jones  wife of Andrew of Madison, WI and Kimberly Ann Telep widow of Bradley M. of Harrisburg.  He was also survived by his nephews and niece, Samuel Robert Telep, Daniel Boyd Jones, Amanda Reshelle Telep, and Jacob Robert Jones.

Gary attended Bedford High School and ITT Technical Trade School, where he received a certificate in Masonry.

As a young man Gary enjoyed moto-cross racing, competing in and winning, many races.  He loved his two dogs, Blackie and Bear, who rode with him to his work-sites. He was happiest when he was working as a mason.   He put his mason skills to work in his neighborhood restoring a fallen basketball hoop.   He will be remembered for his kind heart and gentle ways.

A funeral service will be held at Louis Geisel Funeral Home, Bedford at 11:00 AM on Monday, April 15th, 2013 with The Very Reverend Andrew Jones officiating.

Friends are invited to call on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the funeral home in Bedford.

A private interment will be held at a later date.
