F. Wayne Miller

Mr. F. Wayne  Miller, 87, of Ross Drive, Bedford, died at 10:15 AM, Sunday, January 4th, 2015 at Pennknoll Village.

Mr. Miller was born in Stoney Creek Twp., Somerset County on Friday, July 15, 1927,  the son of the late Foster and Bessie A. (Reed) Miller.

On July 21, 1950, he married A. Jane (Mowry) Miller.  In addition to his wife he is survived by Son- Douglas W. husband of  Beth (Clites) Miller, Everett; Son- Kevin L. husband of  Tara (Dishong) Miller, Bedford; Son- James L. Miller, Manns Choice. He is also survived by six grandchildren, Kim J. Barnett, James W. Miller, Crystal D. Berkey, Kayla O. Forsythe, Risa I. Aronson & Kyle L. Miller, and seven great grandchildren, Tyler Fleegle, Kaitlyn Fleegle, Ethan Miller, Allen Barnett, Jackie Barnett, Ben Berkey & Corey Berkey. He was preceded in death by an infant sister, Ethel, a brother, Wave Miller and a sister, Violet Paholick.

Wayne was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Bedford.  He was a retired truck driver, driving for Eastern Express and Miller Trucking in Schellsburg.  Wayne was a social member of the Schellsburg VFW Post #4440, a member of the Dutch Corner Wildlife Association and a member of the New Baltimore Sportsman's Club.

A Funeral Service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, Bedford, at 11:00 AM on Thursday, January 8th, 2015 with Rev. Raymond Short officiating.

Interment will be held at Schellsburg Cemetery.

Friends are invited to call on Wednesday from 4:00 - 7:00 PM at the Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home in Schellsburg.
