Fred Stuckey Sams

Mr. Fred Stuckey Sams, 93, of Dorchester, SC and Manns Choice died Tuesday, April 3rd, 2012 at his home in South Carolina.

Mr. Sams was born in Manns Choice on Saturday, July 13, 1918,  the son of the late Asa and Zora (Mowry) Sams.

On June 30, 1938, he married Emma Jeanne (Young) Sams.  In addition to his wife he is survived by Son- Dale Thomas Sams, Dorchester, SC; Son- Charles David Sams, Washington, DC; Brother- Donald Sams, Manns Choice. He is also survived by four grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren He was preceded in death by three brothers, Warren Sams, Willis Sams and Walter Sams

Fred was a member of the Bedford Bible Church and served in the US Army Air Force during W.W.II.  He was employed as a dredge boat operator in Midland, PA for 40 years.

A graveside service will be held at Bedford County Memorial Park at 2:00 PM on Saturday, April 7th, 2012 with Pastor Rex Lusk officiating.

Friends are invited to call on Saturday from Noon - 1:30 PM at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg.
