Mr. Floyd K. Clark, 84, of Heritage Road, Osterburg, died at 6:03 AM, Sunday, November 11th, 2012 at Altoona Regional Health System.
Mr. Clark was born in Bedford on Tuesday, February 21, 1928, the son of the late Merle and Virginia Ruth (Feathers) Clark.
He is survived by Daughter- Patricia L. wife of Robert W. Reid, Brunswick, GA; Daughter- Brenda A. (Campbell) wife of Robert J. Paolillo, Johnstown; Longtime Companion- Martha Hippo, Altoona. He is also survived by five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Gary P. Clark, two brothers, Merle Clark, Jr and Paul Clark and by a sister, Betty Hengst
Floyd was a member of the Trinity Reformed Church in Osterburg. He served in the US Air Force as a Sergeant from 1946-1949 and during the Korean War. He worked as an electrician at the Juniata Shop and was employed for over 30 years as an electric inspector for the Commonwealth. He was also employed for 36 and a half years with CONRAIL. Floyd was a member of the Bedford American Legion Post #113 and enjoyed gardening, reading and trains.
A Funeral Service will be held at Jack H. Geisel Funeral Home, Pleasantville at 11:00 AM on Friday, November 16th, 2012 with Pastor Charles L. Miller officiating.
Interment will be held at Osterburg Community Cemetery.
Graveside military rites will be accorded by the Fort Bedford Honor Guard.
Friends are invited to call on Thursday from 2-4 & 6-9 PM at the funeral home in Pleasantville.
