Mrs. Florence L. Herline, 80, of Black Valley Road, Everett, died at 11:45 PM, Thursday, March 7th, 2013 at Pennknoll Village.
Mrs. Herline was born in Woodbury on Saturday, December 3, 1932, the daughter of the late Andrew and Helen S. (Helsel) Clark.
On October 16, 1955, she married Jacob C. Herline, Jr. In addition to her husband she is survived by Son- Stan R. husband of Sally (Barnett) Herline, Claysburg; Daughter- Debbie Karns, Schellsburg; Son- David L. husband of Teresa (Hembree) Herline, Bedford; Son- Calvin L. husband of Vickie (Miller) Herline, Schellsburg; Brother- Luther James Clark, Seattle, WA; Brother- Donald Clark, Bedford; Sister- Darlene Sauters, Osterburg; Sister- Marie Douglas, Charlottesville, VA; Sister- Alberta Ritchey, Bedford; Sister- Bonnie Shipley, Bedford. Florence is also survived by 14 grandchildren: Becky Walter, Michael Herline, Andy Karns, Heather Karns, Steven Karns, John McCoy, Patrick McCoy, Brittany Milburn, Zachary McCoy, Breanne Herline, Carissa Herline, Casie Umbleby, Joshua Horton and Kaylee Horton and by 12 great-grandchildren: Jacob Herline, Lanah Herline, Joshua Walter, Wyatt Milburn, Noah Pittman, Aidan Pittman, Kace Clapper, Nevaeh Clapper, Chloe Umbleby, Lily Umbleby, Kade Horton and Macy Horton. She was preceded in death by a brother, Ray Dean Clark.
Mrs. Herline was a member of the Everett Church of God, where she was a Sunday School teacher in the nursery for 30 years. She also helped clean the church. Florence was employed as a cook at 5 Gables Restaurant in Cessna and at Bedford Steam Laundry.
A Funeral Service will be held at Manns Choice Church of God at 11:00 AM on Monday, March 11th, 2013 with Rev. William R. Kisner & Rev. Richard Whetstone officiating.
Interment will be held at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Manns Choice.
Friends are invited to call on Sunday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg.
