Fern J. (Ferguson) Snavely

Mrs. Fern  J. Snavely, 92, of Main Street, Manns Choice died at 5:20 PM, Friday, March 25th, 2011 at Colonial Courtyard in Bedford.

Mrs. Snavely was born in Napier Township on Friday, February 14, 1919,  the daughter of the late George and Bessie (Clark) Ferguson.

On August 17, 1940, she married Stanley K. Snavely.  She is survived by her husband and many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.  She was preceded in death by two sisters, Evelyn Zimmers and Hazel Price and by two brothers, Clark Ferguson and Jay Ferguson

Fern was a member of the Manns Choice United Methodist Church.  She was employed at Kay Wood Shoe factory in Manns Choice.  Fern was a member of the Bedford American legion Post #113 Ladies Auxiliary and a member of the Manns Choice Senior Citizens.

A Funeral Service will be held  at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, March 29th, 2011 with Rev. Mark Griffith officiating.

Interment will be held at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Manns Choice.

Friends are invited to call on Monday from 7:00 - 9:00 PM at the funeral home.
