Mrs. Faye (Eshelman) Shaffer, 81, of Bedford, passed away at 8:25 AM, Thursday, September 12th, 2013 at the home of her granddaughter, Lincy Taylor in East St. Clair Township.

Mrs. Shaffer was born in Bedford on Friday, September 18, 1931,  she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Mary Margaret (Biddle) Eshelman.

She was met at the golden gates of heaven by the love of her life, Cecil D. Shaffer, who left this earth on February 16, 2012.  They were married on September 14, 1954 in Cumberland, MD.

She is survived by  Daughter- Nancy L. wife of  Lynn Clark, Bedford; Son- Alan D. Shaffer, Bedford; Daughter- Judy Faye wife of  Timothy Olivieri, Roaring Spring; Daughter- Lori A. wife of  Shannon Young, Bedford; Daughter- Lisa G. wife of  Adam Karns, Delmar, MD; Brother- Ray Eshelman, Mechanicsburg. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Lincy, wife of Eric Taylor, Lacey Clark, Anthony Olivieri & fiancee Sarah Rosser, Nicole & Ashley Faye Olivieri and Logan and Jesse Karns, and three great grandchildren. Austin, Shiloh & Gracie Faye Taylor.  In addition to her husband Cecil, she was preceded in death by the following sisters and brothers, Loretta Ritchey, Gladys Seifert, Robert Eshelman, George Eshelman and Joseph Eshelman

Faye was a member of the Bald Hill Lutheran Church.  As a young woman, she worked at the K & M, Alwines and the Willows Restaurants.  Most of her life was devoted to taking care of her family.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be greatly missed.

A funeral service will be held at Louis Geisel Funeral Home, Bedford at 10:30 AM on Monday, September 16th, 2013 with Pastor Jenny Barnes officiating.

Interment will be held at  Bedford County Memorial Park.

Friends are invited to call on Sunday from 2:00 - 6:00 PM at the funeral home in Bedford.

Memorial contributions may be made to Bald Hill Lutheran Church in care of Nancy Clark, 7539 Main Rd, Bedford.
