Ethel B. (Beegle) Smith

Mrs. Ethel B. Smith, 92, of E. Watson St., Bedford, died at 8:45 AM, Saturday, June 29th, 2013 at Colonial Courtyard.

Mrs. Smith was born in Colerain Township on Friday, August 20, 1920,  the daughter of the late Ben and Julia (Diehl) Beegle.

On July 17, 1942, she married Samuel W. Smith.  He preceded her in death on November 23, 1972.

She is survived by  Son- Tom F. husband of  Ann (Zeiss) Smith, Bedford; Son- Richard L. husband of  Judy (Ramach) Smith, Bedford; Grandson- Thomas B. husband of  Cynthia (Brown) Smith, Hollidaysburg; Grandson- Bradley R. husband of  Rebecca (O'Brien) Smith, Pittsburgh; Grandson- Adam T. Smith and fiancee LaRee Kidd, Pittsburgh and five great grandchildren, Brooke, Clay, Logan, Alaina & Caitlin.  She was preceded in death by two sisters, Marion & Helen, an infant brother, Donald and three brothers, Francis, Homer & Tom.

Ethel was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ in Bedford and a 1938 graduate of Bedford High School.  She was a homemaker and a beautician.  Ethel was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and a member of the Exxon Annuitants.

A funeral service will be held at Louis Geisel Funeral Home, Bedford at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, July 2nd, 2013 with Pastor Joe Puleo officiating.

Interment will be held at Schellsburg Cemetery.

Friends are invited to call on Monday from 4:00 - 7:00 PM  at the Louis Geisel Funeral Home in Bedford. and Tuesday from 10:00 - 11:00 AM, also at the Louis Geisel Funeral Home, Bedford.
