Ernest V. Leppert

Mr. Ernest V. Leppert, 68, of Gordon Road, Bedford, died at 1:40 PM, Thursday, February 21st, 2013 at his home.

Mr. Leppert was born in E. St. Clair Township on Monday, July 17, 1944,  the son of the late Howard V. and Aldine O. (Smith) Leppert.

On December 29, 1964, he married Donna M. (Smith) Leppert.  In addition to his wife he is survived by Son- Kevin D. husband of  Kim (Corle) Leppert, Bedford; Granddaughter- Hannah Page; Brother- Cloyd husband of  Theresa Leppert, Schellsburg.  He was preceded in death by his son, Eric in 1966 and by his brother-in-law, Paul Smith

Ernest was affiliated with the Point United Methodist Church.  He was a lifelong dairy and beef farmer and retired from Lane Metal in Cessna after 22 years of employment.  Ernest was a loving husband, father and grandfather who especially cherished the time he spent with his favorite buddy, Hannah.

A Funeral Service will be held at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg at 11:00 AM on Monday, February 25th, 2013 with Rev. Emily Byrd officiating.

Interment will be held at  Fishertown Cemetery.

Friends are invited to call on Sunday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
