Mrs. Emma Mae Runion, 89, of Main Street, Manns Choice, died at 8:15 AM, Thursday, March 29th, 2012 at Donahoe Manor.
Mrs. Runion was born in Wolfsburg on Thursday, May 11, 1922, the daughter of the late Martin and Eva (Clites) Seifert.
On June 29, 1946, she married Russell C. "Chub" Runion. He preceded her in death on September 21, 1993.
She is survived by Son- Terry L. husband of Sue (Bowens) Runion, DeBary, FL; Daughter- Roxann wife of Darl Hillegass, Cheaspeake City, MD; Daughter- Vicki D. Runion, Manns Choice;Son- Martin R. husband of Terry Ann (Karns) Runion, Columbia; Sister- Martha Snyder, Cleveland, OH; Brother- Joseph Seifert, Bedford; Brother- Jack Seifert, Bedford. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Sherry, Shannon, Joanna and Misty, and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Cindy in 1967 and by a brother, James Seifert
Emma was a member of the St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Bedford. She was employed as a salesclerk at G.C. Muphy Co. in Bedford and was a member of the American Legion Post #113 Ladies Auxiliary. Emma was a great cook, well known for her bean soup, vegetable soup and ham pot pie. She also enjoyed gardening and crocheting and was a woman of deep faith.
A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, Bedford at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, April 3rd, 2012 with Father Donald Dusza celebrant.
Committal Services will be held at St. Thomas Cemetery, Bedford.
Friends are invited to call on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg. A vigil for the deceased will be held at 3:00 PM on Monday at the funeral home.
