Mr. Elton Statler Miller, 76, of Adams Run Road, Bedford, died Thursday, February 1st, 2018 at UPMC Altoona Hospital.

Mr. Miller was born in Napier Township on April 26, 1941,  the son of the late Forest and Freda (Manges) Miller.

Statler retired as a machinist from Kennametal in Bedford after 37 years of employment. He also was the co-owner/co-operator of Judy's Market in Reynoldsdale for many years.  After his retirement, he loved the time he was able to spend in the Colorado Rockies with his wife, Judy.  Statler was an outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, trapping and milling lumber on his portable sawmill. He also enjoyed spending time with his dog Kiah.  Statler was a wonderful husband, a loving father and grandfather, an amazing uncle and a loyal friend.  He will be greatly missed   .

As per Statler's request, the family will be scattering his cremains by his favorite rock in Russler's Gulch, located in Crested Butte Colorado.  This special place is where many elk were harvested by Statler and his hunting friends.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Louis Geisel Funeral Home, Bedford.
