Eleanor J. (Geisler) Green

Mrs. Eleanor J. Green, 80, of Pennknoll Road, Everett, formerly of Old Quaker Church Road, Fishertown, died Friday, January 8th, 2016 at Pennknoll Village.

Mrs. Green was born in Bedford on Saturday, April 20, 1935, the daughter of the late Lewis E. and Jessie (Holderbaum) Geisler.

On July 14, 1957, she married Leonard N. Green.  He preceded her in death on September 27, 2011.

She is survived by  Son- Gary K. husband of  Beverly (Alderton) Green, Frostburg, MD. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Vincent & Sierra, and one great granddaughter, Willow Mae. She was preceded in death by a son, Larry and by two brothers, Paul & Donald.

Eleanor was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Bedford.  She was a graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a B.A. in Nursing and completed her registered nurse training at Conemaugh Hospital in Johnstown.  Mrs. Green was employed as a school nurse for the Bedford School District for 30 years. She was a wonderful mother, a doting grandmother & a loyal friend.  She will be missed.

A Funeral Service will be held at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, January 12th, 2016 with Rev. Raymond Short officiating.

Interment will be held at Bedford County Memorial Park.

Friends are invited to call on Tuesday from 10:00 - 11:00 AM at the Geisel Funeral Home in Schellsburg.
