Mrs. Eleanor M. England, 88, of Lower Snake Spring Valley Road, Everett, died at 10:55 AM, Wednesday, August 6th, 2014 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown.
Mrs. England was born in Everett on Tuesday, November 10, 1925, the daughter of the late William R. and Ada O. (Ritchey) Miller.
On August 4, 1945, she married Robert J. England. He preceded her in death on January 13, 2000.
She is survived by Daughter- Wanda L. wife of Brian Pepple, Everett; Daughter- Darla K. wife of Steve Brady, Everett; Son- Daniel R. husband of Ann B. (Blackburn) England, Bedford; Sister- Miriam Kent, Lodi, OH; Sister- Mary Burket, Everett. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Ken Miller and a sister, Rebecca Calhoun.
Eleanor was a member of the Snake Spring Valley Church of the Brethren. During W.W.II, she assisted the war effort by working at Letterkenny. She then was employed for 33 years at Lion Manufacturing in Everett. Eleanor enjoyed quilting, playing games on the computer, hunting and playing cards. She also enjoyed watching sports especially baseball and was a Pittsburgh Pirates and Chicago Cubs fan.
A funeral service will be held at Jack H. Geisel Funeral Home, Inc., Raystown Road, Everett at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 9th, 2014 with Pastor Janet Sell officiating.
Interment will be held at Ritchey Cemetery, Snake Spring Twp.
Friends are invited to call on Friday from 4:00 - 8:00 PM at the funeral home in Everett.
