Eldon J. College, 88, of Martinsburg, formerly of Alum Bank and Chambersburg, passed away at 11:05  PM , Saturday, July 27, 2019 at The  Village at Morrisons Cove.

Mr. College was born in Schellsburg,  on Friday, December 12, 1930,  son of the late Andrew J. and Julia (Smith) College.

Eldon was the widower of Edna M. (Shaffer)  College, whom he married March 22, 1952 together they celebrated nearly 60 years of marriage. She preceded him in death February 26. 2012.

He was employed by Harris-Boyer Bakery of Johnstown from 1955-1970 and later by the Harvest Insurance Co.

Eldon and Edna were long-time members of the Point Church of the Brethren where they served faithfully for many years.

He served  his country in the U.S. Army as a Cpl during the Korean Conflict.

He is survived by  Daughter- Rita R. wife of  Rick Hoffman, Mechanicsburg; Daughter- Carol J. wife of  Larry Wright, Chambersburg; Grandchildren- Rusty husband of Paula Hoffman, Kristin wife of Del Dingle, and Chelsey wife of Irvin Sleighter; Five Great-grandchildren- Finlay and Myla Hoffman, Noah and Abel Sleighter and Kerrington Dingle; Sister- Mary Anna Beckwith, Archibald, Ohio; Brother- Donald E. College, Schellsburg; Sister- Hilda Sutton, Archibald, Ohio. Eldon was preceded in death by his Wife, 2 Brothers - Warren and Owen College and Grandson Ryan Hoffman.

Services are private at the convenience of the family.

Interment at Fishertown Cemetery.
