Elaine F. Felten, 76, of Vine Street, Schellsburg went to her eternal home in heaven on Monday, December 13, 2021 at UPMC Bedford, Snake Spring Twp. Mrs. Felten was born on May 29, 1945, in Blair County, daughter of the late Blaine S. and Betty Rose (Blough) Clapper.
Elaine was the widow of William A. Felten. He preceded her in death on May 31, 2020.
She is survived by Son- Clyde Shippey Jr., husband of Kamala (Whisner) Shippey, Schellsburg; Son- James Shippey husband of Dawn (Diehl) Shippey, Bedford; Daughter- Tammy Shippey, Berlin; Grandchildren- Tristan, Kirstyn wife of Jake Miller, Nichole and Chloe, great-granddaughter- Ellenor Miller, Brother- Blaine E. Clapper, State College and numerous nieces and nephews. Elaine was preceded in death by her parents, husband William and sister- Betty Kay Dewald.
She was a member of Carson Valley Brethren Church, Altoona.
Elaine was a very kind and giving lady who loved spending time with her family. She loved to play games and do puzzles with her grandchildren. She also greatly enjoyed animals and helping take care of or watch her grand dogs, cats and bearded dragon. Elaine brought great joy to her family, and she will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.
Friends will be received on Thursday, December 16, 2021, from 4-7PM at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg.
A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, December 17, 2021, at 11:00AM at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg with Pastor Aaron Whetstone officiating.
Interment at Schellsburg Cemetery.
