Edwin C. "Pete" Frederick

Mr. Edwin C. "Pete" Frederick, 86, of Fawn Hollow Road, Bedford, died at 11:44 PM, Monday, November 19th, 2012 at Donahoe Manor Nursing Home.

Mr. Frederick was born in Spring Church on Wednesday, April 14, 1926,  the son of the late Charles E. and Bertha F. (Coulter) Frederick.

On December 22, 1956, in Johnstown, he married Flora Annette (Knisely) Frederick.  In addition to his wife he is survived by Son- Edwin L. Frederick, at home; Daughter- Michele Eschmann, Bedford. He is also survived by two grandsons, Chad and Brad Hall. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Tressa and Lenore and by a brother, Clifford.

Pete was a member of the St. Mark's Lutheran Church.  He served in the US Army during W.W. II and the Korean War.  Pete was employed as a truck mechanic for 27 years by WC McQuaide in Johnstown.  He was a member of the Bedford American Legion Post #113 and was an avid baseball fan.

A funeral service will be held at Louis Geisel Funeral Home, Bedford, at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 24th, 2012 with Pastor Jenny Barnes officiating.

Interment will be held at St. Mark's Cemetery, Bedford.

Graveside military rites will be accorded by the Fort Bedford Honor Guard.

Friends are invited to call on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Louis Geisel Funeral Home.
