Edwin "Eddie" D. Smith

Edwin "Eddie" D. Smith, 91, of New Paris, Pennsylvania went to be with the Lord on Friday, December 27, 2024 at Homewood at Martinsburg, Martinsburg.

Edwin was born in East St. Clair Township, on September 25, 1933, son of the late Ivory and Ethel Pearl (Earnest) Smith.

On June 16, 1956, he married his wife Emma Jean (Diehl) Smith, of New Paris.

He is survived by son- Allen D. husband of Gwendolyn (Beckley) Smith, of Bedford; daughter- Susan E. wife of Rodney Clark, of Bedford; son- Duane R. husband of Dorothy (Foor) Smith, of Bedford; son- Brent E. husband of Joann (Swope) Smith, of Bedford; along with seven grandchildren: Joseph (Gwendolyn) Smith, William (Valerie) Smith, Benjamin (Tabatha) Smith, Kimberly (Christopher) Webb, Clarece (Bentley) Zimmerman, Savanna Smith, Emily Clark and twelve great-grandchildren: Nathan, Isaac, Isabella, Graham, Chase, Gabriella, Logan, Audrey, Sadie, Bristol Smith, Harper & Nolan Webb. Edwin is preceded in death by brother, Charles and sisters: Florence E. Smith, Anna Lois Diehl, and infant sister Laverne.

Edwin was affiliated with Point Fellowship Church. He worked for Lane Metal, as a truck driver, and retired after 40 years.

A visitation will be held on Friday, January 3, 2024, from 10 AM to 2 PM at Geisel-Styer Funeral Homes, Schellsburg.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 3, 2024, at 2 PM at Geisel-Styer Funeral Homes, Schellsburg, with Jim Miller officiating.

Interment will be at Fishertown Cemetery, Fishertown, PA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Edwin D. Smith to Point Fellowship Church: 210 Church Road, Schellsburg, PA. 15559.
