Edna O. Williams

Edna Ott Williams 95 of Media, passed away November 30th, 2015 at Fair Acres Nursing Home.

Edna was born on January 31, 1920 in Bedford.  She was the oldest daughter of the late Lester Blair and Ilgra (Hillegas) Ott.

Before her retirement, Edna was employed by Wyeth-Ayerst Laboratories in Philadelphia.  She also served as a Corporal in the US Army Air Force during W.W.II

Edna was preceded in death by her husband, Anchor L. Williams, her son Anchor Joel Williams Sr, her brother Robert Ott and her sister Anna Jane Maxwell. She is survived by her 4 grandchildren, Kym Mayo of Versailles, CT, Anchor J. Williams Jr of Hockessin, DE, John D. Williams of Townsend, DE and Andrew Williams of Ephrata, 9 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, December 5, 2015 at Bedford County Memorial Park in Bedford at 10:00 AM with Rev. Ruth Shaver officiating.

Graveside military rites will be accorded by the Fort Bedford Honor Guard.
