Mr. Douglas G. Potter, 69, of Addington Road, Breezewood died Friday, July 10th, 2015 at UPMC Shadyside Hospital, Pittsburgh.

Mr. Potter was born in Baltimore, MD on Tuesday, December 18, 1945,  the son of the late Cliffton and Madeline (O'Brien) Potter.

On September 24, 1983, he married Karen L. (Addington) Potter.

In addition to his wife he is survived by Son- Douglas Potter, Jr. husband of  Kelly, Baltimore, MD; Daughter- Carrie Burke, Baltimore, MD; Step Daughter- Charlene Eiswert, Baltimore, MD; Step Son- Bruce husband of  Dana Hill, Fredericksburg, VA; Sister- Anne wife of  Ralph Wismer, Parkton, MD. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, Michael, Ryan, Cheyenne, Sean, Joshua, Justin, Jake, Autumn & Anthony and cousins, Maggie & Charles.  He was preceded in death by a brother, Byron Potter and his Aunt Dot.

Doug served in the US Navy Reserves and was a self-employed electrician.  He was a member of the NRA, the Breezewood VFW Post #8333 and a lifetime member of the Hawks Club in Baltimore, MD.  Doug enjoyed the outdoors, whether it be hunting, fishing, throwing horseshoes or just doing yard work.  He was a handyman and jack of all trades, always happy to help those in the community with any and all projects.  Doug especially enjoyed working on farm equipment and spent a lot of time converting his garage into his man cave and workshop.  He will be remembered for his spirit of generosity and the joy in which he lived his life.

A funeral service will be held  at Jack H. Geisel Funeral Home, Inc., Raystown Road, Everett at 2:00 PM on Saturday, July 18th, 2015.  Military rites will be accorded by the Everett Honor Guard.

Friends are invited to call on Saturday from 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM at the funeral home in Everett.
